Julianne Hough is a singer, dancer, choreographer, songwriter and actress, but is best known for her professional role with ABC’s hit series, Dancing with the Stars. Julianne comes from a very long line of dancers, including her parents as well as her grandparents. She has won two seasons of the popular reality television show. The former win was with former Olympian Apolo Ohno (DWTS Season 4) and the latter with the three-time Indianapolis 500 winner, Helio Castroneves (DWTS Season 5). Hough was born in Sandy, Utah in July of 1988 to Mari Anne and Bruce Robert Hough and was raised in a Mormon home. She is one of their five children. Her brother Derek is also a professional dancer. Both she and her brother Derek were sent by their parents to London to live and train with their coaches, Corky and  Shirley Ballas to help cultivate their great talent as well as be away from what their parents felt was to eventually be a life of marital strife and  imminent divorce. The two siblings trained along with their coaches’ son, the now famous Mark Ballas.

Even though dancing is obviously in Hough’s genes, it seems that these days she prefers to be singing from a stage as opposed to dancing on one. She has made quite a splash in the country music scene.  Her (self-titled) debut album hit the scene in July 2008 and debuted in the number one slot of the Billboard Country Album Chart. She has toured with the likes of Toby Keith, Brad Paisley and Jewel, proving that she’s a force to be reckoned with in terms of the country music world.

The beautiful blonde haired, blue-eyed Julianne is mesmerizing on stage (whether it be a small community theatre stage, a huge events stage, the television, or the big screen!). At only 5’4” the tiny framed beauty commands the presence that only a well-trained dancer could demonstrate.  She dances as well as some of the greatest names in history…she’s a gifted and proven actress and she sings like a bird. She’s the triple threat! She’s lovely to look at, to watch move, and to listen to sing…what more could a 24 year old American beauty ever want? Julianne’s got it all!
