I once wrote an article singing the praises of Allantoin and Beta Glucan in which I called them the A and B of the AB&C’s of skin care. Allantoin and beta glucan are two skin care ingredients that have wound healing benefits. Two great products which contain these A and B ingredients are calming and soothing and certainly aid in healing and repair of stressed skin issues. Additionally, each product I’ve selected start with the same letter of the respective ingredient which will hopefully aid in association by memory.

ATOPALM-Allantoin

My selection of choice for a product containing allantoin is ATOPALM Intensive Moisturizing Cream. This allantoin containing product helps boost the skin’s barrier function and provides superior hydration to stressed, dry and mature skin. It’s particularly great for repairing and protecting post-procedural treated skin.

Bioelements-Beta Glucan

Bioelements gets my vote for the best product with today’s “B” ingredient known as beta glucan. Bioelements Calmitude Hydrating Solution Sensitive Skin Facial Mist is an ultra-calming solution which also protects the skin’s precious barrier. It also hydrates the skin beautifully and reduces redness and blotchy appearing skin.

Next we’ll take a look at my picks for the C’s and D’s of ingredients. However, you can be sure that even though they start with the letters “C” and “D” they are by no means graded any lower than a spectacular A+!

Cellex-C- Vitamin C

When it comes to ingredients that start with the letter C I’d be remiss to not go with the obvious…topical vitamin C!
